Double Knock Out Racing System

How a Double Knock Out Tournament Works

  • Participants start in the Main or "winners'" bracket.

  • Upon losing a match, they move to the losers' bracket.

  • Winners in both brackets advance, while those who suffer a second loss are eliminated.

  • When only two racers remain, they race a single round to determine the winner.

  • If the final racer in the Loser (having 1 loss) bracket wins against the final racer in the Main/ Winners (having 0 losses) bracket they must race a second time to determine the Final winner. This is stated because the final racer in the Main/ Winners bracket must suffer a “Double Knockout” or 2 Loses to technically win the Final Round.
